Too Expensive?  Please consider the difference in gallons per hour from a dairy cow as compared to a dairy goat, then realize our luxurious milk comes from Nigerian DWARF dairy goats and we're talking hours per gallon!  These girls are individually milked by a loving caretaker, not gang-milked in a commercial setting.  Come see how long it takes you to put a half gallon of milk in a bucket from a Nigerian Dwarf goat!  Alternatively, we have plenty of work around here and will gladly pay 1 gallon per hour to able bodied persons (jar deposits still required).  If you'd like to bring feed, 50 pound bags of Purina Noble Goat Dairy Parlor 16% dairy feed can be purchased from Country Feeds in St James and gladly accepted as payment for a gallon!  Thanks for supporting local farmers.

A Few Words About Us

Our milk matron has a BS in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan - A2 .  She continued her education at the California Institue of Technology in Pasadena, CA, completing her MS in Biology.  She has extensive laboratory experience with in vitro cell culture as well as prokaryotic (bacterial) molecular biology.  This has resulted in an individual with a well-versed capacity for sterile technique which is useful in areas of the Food Industry, such as Dairy.  In addition, she has worked in several restaurants that have to undergo Food Safety inspections.  While our dairy is not USDA Grade A licensed which requires major investments in facilities that our scale does not justify, we feel that our milk is pure and safe.  Milk is dumped if there are any doubts about antibiotic or chemical residue possibly remaining in the animal or excreted in the milk.  We drink our milk, and we have even more stringent requirements for milk offered for sale to our customers for human consumption.  If you have never tasted goat milk, we encourage you to email for an appointment to taste-test before you buy.
